High Carbs, High Gas Prices Not Scaring Away Consumers This Thanksgiving, According to New GfK NOP Survey
New York, NY, November 21, 2005—GfK NOP announced today the results of its new OmniTel® Thanksgiving Survey revealing that Americans aren't willing to give up their starches or their holiday travel this Thanksgiving. Asked which of the following is their favorite traditional turkey-dinner side dish, participants listed:

The GfK NOP survey also found that despite high fuel costs, Americans still plan to hit the road for the holiday. Asked if they plan to travel less this Thanksgiving weekend compared to 2004, nearly two-thirds (64%) say they will travel the same amount or more and less than one-quarter (24%) say they will cut back their drive time.
The GfK NOP OmniTel Thanksgiving study was conducted among 1,000 adults ages 18 and up using telephone interviews November 4-6, 2005.
