GfK Custom Research North America

A seasoned marketing consultant and executive with over 20 years of experience, David is currently Chief Executive Officer of GfK Custom Research North America, part of the GfK Group - one of the world’s largest research companies.  He was appointed to this role in January 2012 and is responsible for running all facets of the business in the region.

Joining GfK in 1995, David most recently held the position of Co-President Custom Research North America, where he was responsible for managing GfK’s client consulting groups, a diverse set of sector experts and research industry thought leaders who provide research and consulting services to a wide variety of companies.  David also held leadership roles in the region’s Business & Technology sector and Brand & Communications practice.

Prior to joining GfK, David served as a Senior Consultant for the North Bay Group, a management consulting company, and was an Analyst at Southern California Edison – a large investor-owned electric utility in California. David also taught Statistics and Cognitive Psychology at Pomona College in Claremont, California.   

David holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Claremont Graduate University.
